LaCie preps the Network Space 2 NAS/media server

LaCie and designer Neil Poulton have teamed up once more to introduce a sexy new NAS server, the Network Space 2. Packing 1 or 2TB of storage space, NS2 measures 117 x 193 x 45 mm and weights 950 grams, has a mirror-polished black finish, and enables easy storing and streaming of data within you home. The NAS can do backup for your PC/Mac and will also be able to make files available on UPnP/DLNA compliant devices, including the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 consoles. "The Network Space 2 is a simple, out of the box solution for customers wanting to share and store media files from anywhere in the house," said Patrick Salin, LaCie Digital Home Business Unit Manager. "Whether a customer wants to centralize family photos, back up multiple computers or access music files using iTunes on the network, this device is a perfect connected storage solution for local use." Network Space 2 has both Gigabit Ethernet and USB connectivity, boasts a fanless design and is backed by a two-year warranty. For now LaCie is only listing the 1TB NS2 in Europe (the UK) priced at £134.99.
