Specialty IC foundry VIS conservative about 4Q09

Analog/mixed-signal and logic IC specialist Vanguard International Semiconductor (VIS) has estimated wafer shipments to decrease by around 30% sequentially in the fourth quarter on a 50% utilization rate. The foundry saw third-quarter revenues grow 27% on quarter to NT$4.34 billion (US$133 million), and shipments increase 25% to 284,000 wafers, according to the company.
