Until we get to see the Revo out (yes, it is that hot, or cool) we can now see Akasa's entrance in the VGA cooler market as it has now released the Vortexx. Designed by Akasa's Hong Kong team, the Vortexx offers improved cooling performance and low acoustic levels to both ATI (now AMD) and Nvidia graphic cards. The Votexx features two copper heatpipes that connect a 60mm square copper base to the bonded fin heatsink and one specially-designed 70mm lo-noise fan that is set to efficiently cool the GPU and board components including the voltage regulators. The fan works at 2300 RPM and delivers a cooling performance of 0.40ºC/W, results that Akasa claims are achieved by stock coolers at a very noisy 5000 RPM. The Vortexx also comes with a tool free installation that is achieved with four thumb screws and a standard 3 pin motherboard power connector. The new cooler works with AMD's X1800, 1900, 1950 & Nvidia's 6800, 7800 (PCIe) and 7900GTX.
