During IDF, Intel has announced that the USB Implementers Forum, which Intel being one of the most active members, has started to certify Wireless USB devices. The new Wireless USB standard, now finally finished, will connect devices just as easy and fast as with a normal USB connection, but without the use for a cable. According to the inventors, Wireless USB in the future will become the interface of choice for connecting devices like printers, webcams and digital camera's to your PC.
The first Wireless USB products will be finished before the end of the year. Of course Wireless USB will be part of future Intel mainboard chipsets.
