Default Re: Trust safeguards your notebook from high peaks and surges

I have a horrible experience with a Trust power product and warranty for connected equipment. I had a Trust UPS800 (which comes with a 20.000¤ connected equipment warranty according to Trust) with a PC and TFT monitor attached to it. One day (almost a year ago now) I heard a loud bang in my PC-room and heard the beep sound from the UPS. I went to take a look and found the PC damaged, the TFT monitor damaged and the UPS damaged. It took some time to figure out the real damage, i.e. the PC power supply, the PC mainboard, the TFT monitor and the UPS itself were damaged.
So I called trust, opened a trouble ticket and they had me send all the defective equipment to them, which I did. After some month, I received a shipment from Trust : the PC mainboard, with a letter : sorry, this is not a Trust product, warranty does not apply.
Getting back to Trust, they told me that it was a mistake, and, on top of that, that they were unable to find the TFT monitor I sent. Then, they asked me to sent the delivery note of the post office, which I did ... Since then, no more news from them .... So, don't TRUST too much in Trust's connected equipment warranty ... you might even never see your defective equipment again if you send it to them ....
