Toshiba has revealed the new Qosmio G60/97J, a notebook equipped with an 18,4" Full HD (1920x1080) screen. The Qosmio runs Windows 7 and sports a Blu-ray player, Harman Kardon speakers and two TV tuners, allowing users to record a channel whilst watching another. The recording quality is to be enhanced thanks to Toshiba's SpursEngine processor. A remote and 802.11n connectivity are also present.

Apart from the Qosmio G60/97J, the company also presented the simpler GX/G8K, which does not feature any TV tuners and has a resolution of 1680x945. Both models are equipped with a 2,53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 processor and 4 GB memory. Graphics are provided by a 1GB GeForce GT 230M graphics card. The G60/97J is equipped with a 500 GB hard disk, while the GX/G8K's hard disk has a 400 GB capacity.

The Qosmio G60/97J weighs 5 kg and is sized 442,6 x 294,2 x 41,5 mm. The notebook is to be released in Japan by the end of November. Pricing and availability in the rest of the world have not yet been mentioned.
