Shortly after images surfaced depicting ASUS' Radeon HD 5770, Gigabyte's first model has also been photographed. Like the aforementioned, Gigabyte's card doesn't differ from AMD's reference model in any other way than the logo sticker. It's expected that this midrange graphisc cards based on the 40 nm Juniper core will be released within a week.
As of yet, official specifications have not yet been mentioned, though the most recent reports suggest a total of 800 stream processors in combination with a 128-bit memory interface. The clock frequency of the core would be specified at 850 MHz, while the 1 GB of GDDR5 memory operates at 4800 MHz. This would provide the HD 5770 with approximately 1,36 Teraflops of computing power. The card has a maximum power consumption (TDP) of 108 Watt. As mentioned in earlier reports, AMD has significantly decreased the idle power consumption of the HD 5800 series, resulting in an idle power consumption of just 18 Watt. A single 6-pin PCI-Express power connector is used on the card.
With an expected pricetag of about €150, AMD's Radeon HD 5770 comes with four video-outputs, two times DVI and both HDMI and DisplayPort.
