takeMS launches a new series of USB-flashdrives capable of encrypting data with a 256-bit AES-encryption. The manufacturer states that it makes the storage devices perfectly suited for private and confidential data storage. Providing the right password will naturally grant users access to their files, whereas trying a faulty password six times will result in unrecoverable data-erasement.

The new line of flashdrives will be branded MEM-Drive Crypto AES and is available in capacities of 2, 4, 8, 16 and 32 GB. The specified reading- and writing speeds are respectively 11 and 8 MByte/s. The drives are compatible with all versions of Windows from Windows 2000 SP4 and up, including the upcoming Windows 7 operating system. The flashdrives also support Windows Ready Boost.

takeMS bundles a five-year warranty with its MEM-Drive Crypto AES flashdrives. No information is available regarding pricing and release dates.
