nVidia has released new GeForce WHQL graphisc card drivers on its website. The new version is branded 191.07 and feature version 9.09.0814 of the PhysX software. The drivers are compatible with all graphics cards from the GeForce 6 series and more redcent, including the integrated chips. This new 191.07 driver contains a number of new SLI profiles, performance enhancements and several bugfixes. OpenGL 3.2 suport has also been added for cards of the GeForce 8 series and up.

nVidia reports the following performance increases in comparison to the older 190.62 drivers:

  • Up to 12% better performance in ARMA 2
  • Up to  8% performance increase in Batman: Arkham Asylum when PhysX is enabled
  • Up to 50% better performance in Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood using SLI systems
  • Up to 14% better performance in Fallout 3 (indoor levels) with anti-aliasing enabled
  • Up to 10% performance increase in Far Cry 2's DX9 mode while anti-aliasing is enabled
  • Up to 34% better performance in Prototype with enabled anti-aliasing

nVidia has also added the SLI profiles for the following games to the new WHQL drivers: Aion, Darkfall, Dawn of Magic 2: Time of Shadows, Dreamkiller, Fuel, Majesty 2: The Fantasy kingdom Sim and Need for Speed: Shift. The new GeForce drivers with version number 191.07 can be downloaded from nVidia's website and are compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.
