Mitsubishi has announced a new 23" Full-HD monitor, branded RDT231WLM-S. The model will be added to Mitsubishi's Diamondcrystal series and features a 23" TN panel with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The screen has a 5 ms response time and a specified brightness of 300 cd/m2. Mitsubishi reports that the monitor has a contrast of 100:1, and a dynamic contrast of up to 5000:1. Though the company hasn't mentioned the active power consumption, the monitor is to use less than 0,5 Watt while in stand-by.

The monitor's video-outputs include analog D-Sub, as well as digital DVI and HDMI-connectors. Since the screen sports two integrated speakers (2x 1 Watt) a 3,5 mm audioconnector is also present.

Mitsubishi's RDT231WLM-S is to be released on the 16th of October; prices have not yet been mentioned.
