Kanguru expands its line-up with the thin QS Slim external DVD-burner. The sleek device is connected to systems using a USB 2.0 interface. The optical drive sports 1 MB buffer memory and supports LightScribe as well as burning speeds of up to 22x for DVD+R/-R. DVD+R DL and DVD+RW can be burned at 8x, DVD-R DL and DVD-RW have a maximum writing speed of 6x, while CD-R's and CD-RW's can be processed at respective speeds of 52x and 32x. DVD's feature a 160 ms access time and CD's a specified access time of 140 ms.

The device comes bundled with Nero's Burning software and is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista, the upcoming Windows 7 and Linux 2.4 and 2.6. Kanguru's QS Slim DVDRW can be ordered at a price of $60 USD.
