Sharp introduces new LCD televisions in the Aquos LE600 and LE700 series. The Full HD screens feature an X-Gen panel and a full array LED backlight system. They will be available in sizes of 52", 46", 40" and 32".

According to Sharp, the new Aquos televisions sport uniform colors and that the LED-lighting provides the screens with an excellent brightness. The brightness is automatically adjusted based on the ambient lighting. Black should also have a deep color because the X-Gen technology prevents light-leaking from nearby pixels. The dynamic contrastratio is specified at over 2.000.000:1. The 52 and 46 inch models also have a dejudder fucntion to ensure smooth playback when using different framerates than the TV's native 120Hz.

Sharp claims a 4ms response time on the new Aquos models. A viewing angle of 176 degrees is specified. The life expectancy of the screens is 100.000 hours MTBF. The power consumption of the televisions is 105 W (52 inch), 90 W (46 inch), 75 W (40 inch) and 55 W (32 inch).

The televisions will be presented during the IFA 2009 and will be available in America later this month. The European models will feature slightly different specifications than those mentioned above.
