HP introduces two new notebooks
HP introduces two new notebooks: the ProBook 4310s and Mini 5101. The first is to combine a sleek design and functionality with a modest price, while the other is meant as an ultra-portable PC for the business segment.
The ProBook 4310s features a glossy black finish, weighs 1,97 kilo's and is 27,3 mm thick. The notebook is equipped with an anti-glare, 13.3-inch diagonal HD LED-backlit screen sporting a 16:9 aspect ratio with optional BrightView. The new ProBook has the option for either an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 or Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD graphics controller.
Data on the laptop is protected with as little as three mouseclicks: the notebook uses Password Management, PreBoot authentication and HDD encryption. The optional HP un2400 Mobile Broadband Module (WWAN) will make it possible to connect to the internet without requiring to find a WiFi hotspot first. The notebook features an HDMI port to attach HD displays, a 34-slot ExpressCast and the Secure Digital MultiMediaCard reader.
The HP ProBook 4310s is available at a recommended price of € 449.

HP reports that the Mini 5101 Notebook PC is a stylish and ultra-portable PC for professionals that wish to take their office along with them. The mini-notebook weighs 1,3 kilo's and sports a 10.1-inch LED-backlit HD screen with a 1366x768 resolution. The size of the keyboard is 95% of a conventional desktop keyboard. The small laptop features Wi-Fi Certified WLAN and optional WWAN.
The chassis of the Mini has a brushed aluminum finish and protects the notebook while working outdoors. The specifications seem to be of the common kind for netbooks: an Intel Atom processor, 160 GB harddisk and the Mobile Intel GMA950 UMA graphics chip.
HP's Mini 5101 is to be released in August, featuring a RRP of € 449.
