Emtec has shown a new nettop on a press conference earlier this week. The so-called GBox is to be positioned in the same market as the Acer Revo and ASUS Eee Box. Emtec's new nettop is reportedly slimmer and slightly cheaper than the aforementioned models. The version without HDMI is to cost 209 euro.
The GBox is based on nVidia's Ion platform and features an Intel Atom N270 or N280 processor. Graphics are provided by the integrated GeForce 9400M controller. The nettop has six USB 2.0 ports and a D-sub (VGA) connector. As mentioned, there's also an HDMI model at extra cost. The system is equipped with a 160 GB harddisk and the amount of memory present is still unknown. Windows XP is pre-installed as operating system.

A release date for Emtec's GBox has not yet been mentioned. A video of the device has already appeared on YouTube.
