Sparkle launches 1792MB GTX 275 card

Following competitors EVGA, MSI, Club3D and Inno3D, graphics card manufacturer Sparkle has announced a 1792 MB version of the GeForce GTX 275 as well. Because the memory is quite cheap at the moment, and more complex videogames ask quite a bit of your graphics card, it's become quite common to add extra memory to reference GPUs. The GTX 275 has a 448-bits memory interface which is usually linked to 896 MB of GDDR3 memory. By doubling the capacity, the card is able to work its way around the latest games better, while maintaining the highest settings.

As of yet, there aren't many cases in which this quantity of memory would be justified, but in the near future it could come in quite handy when there's a new generation of videogames on the market. Sparkle's new card features the serial number SXX2751792D3-VM and SXX2751792D3-VP, and is equipped with a white-colored dualslot cooler. It's remarkable that despite the larger cooler, the card only uses a single PCI bracket. This means that when the card is used in combination with watercooling, only one slot will be lost.

The clock frequencies of Sparkle's GTX 275 1792 MB are 633 MHz for the GPU and 1404 MHz for the 240 stream processors. The GDDR3 memory effectively runs at 2268 MHz. The GTX 275 supports DirectX 10.0, Shader Model 4.0, CUDA, PhysX and the second generation of PureVideo HD video acceleration. SLI and Triple-SLI are also supported.

Sparkle has not yet announced a recommended price for its latest graphics card, but competitors have similar 1792 MB models listed at prices ranging from 240 to 300 euro.
