[Computex09] Zalman presents new CPU-coolers
For years Zalman has been the ruler of the CPU-cooler market, but currently the company's finding itself in a struggle against competitors as Scythe, Thermalright and Prolimatech. The Koreans are determined to reclaim their position and have introduced a new cooler to strengthen their product base. The CNPS10x Extreme is the company's new copper CPU-cooler that is claimed to be better than any rivaling aircooler, a claim we are delighted to verify shortly. The CNPS10x Extreme has something quite remarkable; a PWM-fancontroller. With a push of the button, you can alter between the motherboard-determined speed and several manual level's. This way you can use PWM, but when you're overclocking instantly change the speed to its maximum. The controller is connected to the CPU-fan channel and by means of the bundled extension cable it can also be used outside of the case.
A slightly cheaper version is the CNPS10x Quiet. This has a 3-pin connector and comes with a regular fan-controller.
