Japanese computer website AKIBA has captured images of a shortened version of the Radeon HD4670 graphics card. The total length of the PCB is just 1 cm longer than the length required for the PCI-e connector. The card is also equipped with a large round cooler, emphasizing the short size.
The AOpen HD4670 features 1 GB of GDDR3 memory, an HDMI, DVI and a D-Sub connector. Because of it's small size and the diversity of connectors, this card could be ideal for use in HTPC's and other small cases. The GPU is already available in Japan, costing about $70. Whether the card will be released in the rest of the world is still unknown.
