Gigabyte has launched the GV-N92TSL-1GI, a passively cooled version of nVidia's 9800 GT graphics card. With this card, the company claims to be the only manufacturer to feature a passively cooled GeForce 9800GT in its line-up. The GPU has 1 GB of GDDR3 graphics memory, a 256-bit memory interface and the conventional 112 stream processors.

The cooler consists of a copper base plate with three heatpipes to transport the heat to the large heatsink. To ensure optimal cooling, a chassis with a decent airflow is required. Gigabyte uses its efficient MOSFET capacitors and other high quality components on these cards. The new 9800GT supports nVidia's PhysX, CUDA and can be run in an SLI-configuration.

The GV-N92TSL-1GI will become available soon at a still undisclosed price.
