MSI launches SyrenSound series audio products

MSI has added a number of audio products to its line-up. The MSI Syren-series consists of a soundcard (SyrenSound X-Fi), a headset (SyrenPhone Gaming) and speakers (SyrenSpeaker Mini).

The SyrenSound X-Fi features the Creative Audio Processor CA0110 and can be placed in a PCI-Express slot. The SyrenSound X-Fi supports the X-Fi Xtreme Fidelity Audio-technology and EAX Advanced HD 4.0, to create a more realistic sound experience in games. The sound quality of compressed audio (including MP3's) should also sound better.

The SyrenPhone Gaming headset is connected to the computer via a USB port. The headset features an adjustable band and cushioned ear pads. This combination should improve the usability of the set. The headset also features a noise-reducing microphone. A volume button has been integrated into the cable, which also allows for disabling the mic.

The compact Mini-Q USB speakerset, branded SyrenSpeaker Mini, has a digital (class D) amplifier. This amp should make the set sound better than other speakers. The speakers are powered through the USB-cable, making a seperate adaptor unnecessary.
