Following competitor Koolance, Swiftech has launched a single-slot watercoolingblock for graphics cards based on nVidia's reference GTX 285. This block, branded Komodo, is a so-called 'full cover' block. This means that it does not only cover the graphics chip alone, but also the voltage regulators, I/O chip and memory modules.

To ensure an optimal heat transfer, the water flows accelerated through a grid of 0.6 mm thick pins, directly above the area where the core is positioned. Thanks to this construction, it's possible to equip two or even three graphics cards with a Komodo block and place them in the same loop, both parallel and serial, without significantly decreasing waterpressure and flow. The base of the coolingblock is made out of chromed copper, to prevent corrosion. The black top consists of the non-oxidising and sturdy material Delrin. The entire cooler weighs 772 grams and is sized 198 x 122 x 13 mm.

Swiftech bundles a small tube of thermal paste and pre-applied cooling pads with its Komodo GeForce GTX 285 waterblock. Also enclosed are two 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch fittings. The cooler bares a recommended price of $134,95.
