Following EVGA and Zotac, MSI has introduced a watercooled version of the GeForce GTX 285 graphics card. MSI has branded the card N285GTX HydroGen OC, which immediately suggest that the card is an overclocked version. The card sports a red PCB and a double-slot PCI bracket. Most notable is the cooling block, which covers almost the entire card. The cooler is made of copper and has three gaps for the components around the power provision of the card.
MSI's watercooled GTX 285 features clock frequencies of 702, 1476 and 2600 MHz for respectively the core, the shader units and the GDDR3 memory. This overclock should make the card slightly faster than a regular GTX 285 with aircooling, while retaining an even greater overclocking potential due to the watercooling. The waterblock is compatible with 1/4 fittings and has a 0.45 mm 'micro channel' design for optimized heat transfer.

The graphics card is based on the 55nm version of the GT200 chip, connected to the 1024 MB memory using a 512-bits interface. The GTX 285 supports DirectX 10, as well as all CUDA and PhysX applications. Though a recommended price has not yet been mentioned, it is estimated that the card will cost between 400 and 450 euro.
