Samsung reports that the hardware-based encryption SSD's are intended for business users. Manufacturer Dell has already announced that it will bundle the disks with certain notebooks.

The Samsung SSD's come with the Wave Embassy software, which uses the TPM chip, as well as fingerprint recognition. It's still unclear when these SSD's will be released and at which price.
