ASUS has launched a new chassis in its Vento line of mid-tower cases. The new Vento TA-M2 has a silver-colored frame and features a toolless design, allowing all components (excluding the motherboard) to be installed without requiring screwdrivers. There's also been taken care of a decent airflow and cooling system to keep components such as the processor and graphics card cooled down nicely.
The Vento TA-M2 features two blue LED-fans: one on the front, and another on the rear. Optionally, two extra fans can be mounted in an adjustable plate that sits on the side panel. This allows the side panel fans to be directed at specific components. Ventilation holes have been placed around the HDD brackets to keep those cooled as well. There's room for a 38 cm graphics card or 28 cm when either SLI or CrossfireX is used. Dust filters have been placed on the top and front panel of the case to keep things clean.
ASUS' new Vento case is sized 190 x 483 x 478 mm (W*H*D) and has room for four external 5.25" bays, an external 3.5" bay and four internal 3.5" bays, which should be more than enough for most systems. The top of the case also houses the I/O panel, which features two USB 2.0 ports, as well as the conventional audio-jacks and an optional eSATA port. On the back of the chassis, there's room for seven PCI expansion cards.
ASUS' Vento TA-M2 should be available soon at a still undisclosed price.
