AOpen introduces the small XC Encore OE700 barebone, which can be configured to function as an HTPC as well. The device weighs approximately 4 kilograms and its dimensions are 200 x 321 x 106 mm. AOpen reports that the chassis features a special system to surpress sound and vibrations of the hard disk and optical drive.

The barebone comes with an integrated 135 W power supply, the Windows Vista-certified remote control that can be seen above, and a small VFD-screen. As of yet, the XC Encore OE700 is only available in Japan. It's still unclear when the barebone will be released in the rest of the world and at which price.
