DFI will launch a new P45 motherboard for overclockers soon. The 'Blood Iron' P45-T2RS Elite is an improved version of the P45-T2RS. The board features a modified PCB-design with a different network chip. The second graphics card slot -present on the previous version- has been removed. This means that Crossfire configurations are no longer possible. The board officially supports all Core 2 Duo and Quad-processors with an FSB of up to 1333 Mhz.

DFI claims that this new Blood Iron is able to reach decent overclocks while maintaining a relatively low pricetag. It's reported that a frontsidebus of over 600 MHz could be reached easily. The chipset is passively cooled by black heatsinks. The board features four DDR2 memory slots and has a Floppy, PATA and six SATA-connectors.

The I/O panel of the board features the classic PS/2 ports, 6x USB, Gigabit LAN and audio connectors (both analog and digital). DFI's Blood Iron P45 is to be released next week.
