nVidia silently introduced four new professional graphics cards in its Quadro FX product series. Partners PNY and Leadtek have already reported that all four models will be added to their line-ups and are available for purchase. nVidia classifies two of these cards as entry models, another as midrange and the last as a high-end version. The Quadro FX 380, 580, 1800 and 3800, as the name cards are branded, will be used in systems that feature computer-aided-design (CAD), digital content creation (DCC) and virtualisation software.

Apart from the Quadro FX 380 -which sports two DVI-connectors- all cards feature two DisplayPort0-connectors and a DVI port. The amount of graphics memory is increased in each card, starting at 256 MB on the FX 380 and going up to 1 GB for the FX 3800. The quantity of processing cores also doubles in the lower-end models, with a huge gap between the midrange and high-end card.
