Earlier this week, specifications of a till-then unknown desktop processor appeared in Intel's Processor Spec Finder. The Intel Pentium Dual-Core E3200, as the processor is called, is a socket 775 CPU with sSpec SLGU6 and stepping R0. The specifications claim a clock frequency of 2.6 GHz and an 800 MHz FSB with 1 MB of L2 cache.
A remarkable fact is that the specifications have already disappeared from Intel's public database. Screenshots of the missing page indicate that the SLGU6 is a 45nm processor with a VID range of 0.85 to 1.3625 V. The claimed TDP is 65 Watt. The page also reports a multiplier of 12: which is likely to be erroneous, since the other specs make it look like there should be a 13x multiplier.
Whether it's a non-existing processor that was accidentally entered in the database, or simply a premature publish is still unclear. Intel has not yet officially announced the E3200; this means there's no information on whether the processor will release, and if it will what the cost and release date will be.
