After such motherboards as the X58 Blood Rage, X58 Renaissance and the X58 Blood Rage GTI, manufacturer Foxconn is soon launching a new Intel X58-based motherboard, branded X58 Flaming Blade. The Flaming Blade is to become a more affordable alternative to the already-available X58 series, its price is estimated at US $210.

The Flaming Blade will have three DDR3-memory slots and two PCI-E 2.0 x16 slots. Also present will be six SATA 3.0 GBps ports and two eSATA connectors. Other features include two Gigabit LAN controllers, 7.1 HD audio, a number of USB 2.0 ports and onboard Power- and Reset- buttons.

The board features an LGA1366 socket, which makes it compatible with Intel's Core i7 processors. To keep the price relatively low, the power provision for the socket, as well as the chipset cooling, has been kept quite simple. The Foxconn X58 Flaming Blade will become available soon.
