MSI has finished work in an extreme edition of the GeForce GTX 260 graphics card. The card will be branded N260GTX Lightning and is cooled by a dualslot cooling block with five heatpipes and two fans. MSI has chosen for a red PCB with an 8+2 power provision and extra-durable capacitors.
Most notable is the amount of graphics memory, the GTX 260 Lightning sports double the memory amount of a reference GTX 260. This means 1729 MB of GDDR3 memory, which is more than enough for the latest games. Connectors are present for VGA (D-sub), DVI and Displayport, an HDMI-adaptor is bundled.

As a bonus, MSI has enclosed an 'Airforce panel' in the box. This device allows easy overclocking of the graphics card. MSI will display the GTX 260 with double memory during the CeBIT in March. Image source: Matbe.
