Amacom announces the Data Locker. The company claims that with the Data Locker Secure Drive, there's no need to worry about your data ending up in the wrong hands
The data on the disk is encrypted with a pincode of up to 18 numbers which has to be entered directly on the unit's display. The Data Locker uses a hardware-based encryption chip to code and decode your data with military grade AES / CBC-mode encryption.
The Data Locker is available in three different sizes, being 160 GB, 320 GB and 500 GB. It's to become part of daily life in corporations and government offices.
There are three different versions available:
- Data Locker Personal Device Locking/File Cloaking Process: Consumer and education
- Data LockerPro AES 128bit: Governmet offices
- Data Locker Enterprise AES 256bit: Defense and transport of extremely sensitive data
