Last year Thermaltake introduced a compact phase-change cooler during the CeBIT of 2008. This year the company plans to present another phase-change cooler on the CeBIT convention. Thermaltake will show the Xpressar RCB400, which is a further developed version of last year's RCS100 and even smaller than its predecessor.
The Xpressar RCB400 is a miniature phase-change cooler which can be mounted in the space of four 5.25" bays. The unit can be used for cooling both processors and graphics chips by simply switching the contact plate. Thermaltake claims that the koeler is able to keep a CPU or graphics chip at 27 à 29 °C, under room temperature conditions. This should ensure a more stable functioning than other alternative methods of cooling.
The Xpressar RCB400 which Thermaltake will display during CeBIT 2009 is still a prototype. This means that it isn't known yet when the cooler can be expected in the retail channels.
