Transcend launches a new DDR3-1800 MHz memory kit. The set consists of two 2 GB modules and will be positioned in the company's high-performance  aXeRam series. The aXeRam modules feature an aluminum heatspreader which -in combination with the Fine-Pitch Ball Grid Array package- should stand for better heat displacement. The modules are created from eight layers of PCB's and live up to the JEDEC-standards.

The two paired non-ECC DIMM modules of 2 GB each will bear timings of 8-8-8-24 with a required voltage of 1.8V. The memory is intended for use with AMD's AM3 motherboards and Intel LGA775 motherboards that support DDR3. The modules are also compatible with Intel's Extreme Memory Profile (EMP) technology, making it easier to overclock the modules by adjusting the timings.

Transcend bundles a lifetime warranty with its aXeRam 4 GB DDR3-1800 kit. It is available at a price of about  € 300.
