PC Online has released a roadmap of AMD's latest socket AM3 processors. A remarkable model on the list is the Phenom II X4 950, which wasn't present on earlier roadmaps. This new Phenom 950 has a clock frequency of 3.1 Ghz, 100MHz higher than the existing Phenom X2 940 (socket AM2+) and the upcoming 945 (socket AM3). Despite the increased clock frequency, the TDP value is still the same 125 Watt. Whether the 3.1 GHz model will feature an unlocked multiplier is still unclear.
The new roadmap confirms the coming of socket AM3's first 45nm triple- and quadcore processors in February. The higher clocked Phenom II X4 945 and 950 models with the 125W TDP will be arriving a bit later, namely by the end of the second quarter. Shortly after the introduction of socket AM3, AMD will discontinue its production of AM2+ Phenom II's.

The Phenom II processors with AM3 socket can be combined with the faster DDR3 memory, thus increasing the performance even further. The new 45nm processors do not have a pricetag yet.
