Acer showed us a new home server system during the CES. The Aspire easyStone, as it is dubbed, has a compact square case and uses Intel's Atom N230 processor. The motherboard features the Intel 945GC + ICH7R chipset. Up to four 3.5 inch hard disks can be placed in the case, making for a total of 4 TB of storage capacity. The easyStore comes standard with one or two 640 GB harddisks.

The Aspire easyStone has one USB 2.0 port on the front, as well as a button for the so-called 'One-Touch USB Copy'. On the rear, four additional USB 2.0 ports can be found. eSATA and Gigabit LAN are also present on the system. The device has 1 GB of DDR2-667 memory.

Acer's Aspire easyStone comes with Microsoft Windows Home Server pre-installed, as well as a six-month license for McAfee Total Protection Service. The complete specifications can be found on the manufacturer's product page. The system does not yet have a recommended price.
