HP will release a new loptop under its "Voodoo PC" brand that will squarly be aimed at gamers. The codenamed "Firfefly" is still in a experimental phase, however Laptopmag already managed to get hold of a test sample and has taken some pictures of the newest addition.

The laptop has two displays, the main display is a 17,1 inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, and there is an additional smaller display measuring 4.3 inch and a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The second display can be used to show information, a messenger or any website while the main display is used for gaming.

An Intel Core 2 Extreme quadcore at 2,4 GHz paired with 4 GB of memory and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD3870 crossfire setup ensures that the laptop has sufficient power to handle any game currently on the market. However this much power also has a downside, the power usage of 170 Watt makes the extra supplied external battery a necessity in stead of a luxury.

The gaming laptop also has an illuminated keyboard and a specially developed multi-touch trackpad that simulates the three mousebuttons comonly used in games played with a normal mouse, eliminating the need for an additional mouse with the laptop. Sound is handled by a Creative X-Fi 5.1 soundcard and an infrared webcam comes as standard.
