VR-Zone reports that nVidia is working on a special version of the MCP7A chipset. The new chipset is to be compatible with all Intel Atom processors.
Remarkable is the rumor that the MCP7A for Atoms will also support two PCIe x8 slots. This would make it possible to build an Atom system with an SLI-setup. It is still unclear whether the new version of the MCP7A chipset will feature an integrated graphics card (IGP).nVidia is also rumored to be working on the MCP79 chipset for Atoms, based on a pico-ITX motherboard. This chipset will mostly be used in nettops and supports single channel DDR3-SODIMM memory. The MCP79 features an integrated graphics controller with HDMI and DVI-I outputs and is not compatible with SLI.
