LaCie launches a new series of PCI expansion cards which add USB 2.0, eSATA and FireWire connectivity to a PC or Mac. The five models chips by Texas Instruments, Nec and Silicon Image. The cards are designed by the French company Sismo.

The usage of the eSATA ports requires additional drivers to be installed on the pc. LACie reports that all cards have an anti-static handle to prevent connected devices to be damaged by static discharge.
