Auzentech has introduced the X-Fi Forte 7.1 PCI-Express soundcard. This low profile card is -as the name suggests- equipped with a Creative X-Fi chip and is to be placed in a PCI-Express 1x slot.
Apart from the 20K2 PCI-Express audio processor, the X-Fi Forte also has 64 MB of memory and the option to playback 16/24-bit audio (up to 192kHz).

The card supports Dolby Digital Live in both Windows XP and Vista, DTS Neo:PC and DTS Interactive in Vista, WDM, ASIO2.0, EAX 5.0, Direct Sound, Direct Sound 3D and OpenAL.
The Auzentech X-Fi Forte 7.1 is expected to be released by the end of this year, bearing a recommended price of $150 USD.
