AMD releases efficient Phenom X3 processors

AMD has released two new Phenom processors. The new CPUs are energy efficient versions of the Phenom X3 8250 and 8450. AMD has been able to give these AM2+ processors a TDP of 65 Watt. The original versions featured a 95 Watt TDP.

The AMD Phenom X3 8450e is clocked at 2.1 GHz, features three 512 kB L2 cache blocks, as well as 2 MB of L3 cache and support for HyperTransport 3.0. The new Phenom X3 8250e only differs in clock frequency, it has a clockspeed of 1.9 GHz.
The recommended retail price for the 8450e is estimated to be about $110 USD.
