After the earlier introduction of the TouchSmart PC, HP now launches a notebook with the same technology. The TouchSmart tx2 notebook is developed as a portable mediafile solution.

The notebook weighs about 2 kilograms. The 12.1-inch touchscreen features LED-backlighting and an integrated webcam. A digital pen allows the laptop to be used as a notepad when in tablet mode. The system uses a mobile version of the AM Turion X2 (Ultra) ZM-80 2.1 GHz processor. It also has a 320 GB hard disk, 4 GB of DDR2-memory and comes with Windows Vista Home Premium pre-installed.
The basic configuration of HP's TouchSmart tx2 has a recommended price of $1,150 USD.
