One of the new features of AMD's 45nm Shanghai serverprocessor is the DDR2-800 memory support. Nanya has announced two new modules specially made for the platform. The new registered DDR2-memory modules (RDIMM) have a clock frequency of 800 MHz and will become available in respectively 2GB and 4GB.

Both modules have a CAS latency of 6 and require the standard 1.8V DDR2-voltage. Nanya claims that they have been cooperating with AMD to optimize the performance of the modules when used in combination with the serverprocessors.

Nanya's new memory modules do not have a price yet.
