Plextor recently reveiled two new truly pocket sized External Hard disks, the PX-PPH60U and the PX-PPH120U. These two new 1.8 inch drives have the footprint of a credit card, and are no bigger than 3 USB sticks put together.

Plextor deems these new drives perfect for users that do not want to be limited by the capacity of conventional USB sticks, but yet do not want the bulk of a normal external harddrive. The new drives have a capacity of 60GB or 120GB, measure 12mm x 90mm x 62mm and weigh only 90 grams. The USB 2.0 interface provides data transfer rates of up to 480Mbps and the drives are compatible with both MAC and Windows PC's.

Both drives will be available from the middle of december 2008 and carry a two year warrant. A price for the new drives however has not yet been revealed.
