Recently, Leadtek announced that it will release a GT200-based nVidia Quadro FX 5800 graphics card. This PCIe x16 card is intended for workstations that run heavy programs, i.e. CAD applications. The Quadro FX 5800 features a stunning 4 G of GDDR3 memory on a 512-bit interface, its total bandwidth is 102 GB/s. Resolutions of up to 2560x1600 are supported on the dual link DVI and DisplayPort outputs.

The card is compatible with Shader Model 4.0, DirectX 10.0 and OpenGL. The utilisation of CUDA makes the FX 5800 also suited for parallel calculations: an interface is bundled in which the programming language C can be used. The Quadro FX 5800 also supports Quadro Plex VCS, Quadro G-Sync, SDI and SLI configurations.
