Kingston's engineers have developed a new heatspreader, which should be a significant improvement in cooling compared to the current one. The new T1 heatspreader uses Kingston's HyperX Thermal Xchange (HTX) technoloy to optimize the area the heat is spread out to. The spreader is made of aluminum and has additional cooling fins.

The T1 heatspreader will be used on a number of DDR3 memory modules that are compatible with Intel's Core i7 processors, as well as DDR2 models in the HyperX line-up.
