By the end of November, Zalman will release its first Intel core i7 CPU-cooler, the CNPS9900 LED. The cooler has three curvede heatpipes which transfer the heat from the copper base to the numerous cooling fins. The block consists of two parts, with a 120mm fan in the middle. This fan will spin at a rate of between 1000 and 200 rpm, respectively producing between 18.5 and 39 dB(A).

Zalman's cooler is rather large, its dimensions are 94 x 105 x 158.5 mm and it weighs 782 grams. To optimize the airflow through the heatsinks, Zalman bundles a plastic bracket with the cooler. Though it's designed for Core i7, retention brackets are also enclosed to make the 9900 LED compatible with Intel's S775 and AMD's socket 754, 939/940 and AM2.
