Shortly after the introduction of the third generation Core SSD's, OCZ now launches a serie of solid state disks for the budget segment. These new disks are part of the 'Solid' line-up and will be available in 30, 60 and 120 GB editions. The lifetime of these 2.5" budget-SSD's is specified to be 1.5 million hours.

The disks in the Solid serie feature a mini-USB connector which is used to install firmware-updates. The SSD's are able to reach a reading speed of 155 MB/s and a writing speed of up to 90 MB/s. The access time is less than 0.3 ms. The 30 GB model costs about $90, while the 60 and 120 GB versions will set you back respectively $175 and $300,-. OCZ provides a two-year warranty with these SSD's.
