Apart from the X58 'Renaissance', Foxconn is also working on another high-end motherboard for Intel's Core i7 platform. The X58 'Blood Rage' will be part of the Quantom Force line-up, which is aimed towards gamers and overclockers.
The X58 motherboard has a black PCB and a claimed 14-phase power provision. The north and southbridge have cooling blocks placed on them. The block on the northbridge can be replaced by a waterblock, as can be seen in the second image.
The board is able to house up to three DDR3-1800 modules in a triple channel setup. It has four PCi-Express 2.0 slots to power CrossFireX and (Tri-)SLI configurations. The 'Blood Rage' board features two SAS-connectors, six SATA II and two eSATA ports, two Gbit LAN connectors and a seperate X-Fi soundcard is also bundled. Foxconn will also enclose an overclocking module that makes it possible to overclock on-the-fly from a 5.25 inch bay.
