thumbA while ago, reports appeared on nVidia's GeForce GT100 serie, which according to several sources consists of GeForce 9000-cards with a new name. Even though some sources claimed that the series would be introduced on the 15th of October, nVidia has not yet released any information.

The website xtreview.com recently released more alleged details of the upcoming GT100-cards. The GeForce GTS150 would be based on the G92 chip, the GT130 on the G94 chip (the current GeForce 9600GT-core) and the GT120 on the G96 (the current 9500GT core). All of these cores are produced on 55nm.

Earlier rumors also spoke of new models in the GT200-serie. Xteview claims that the new line-up will be as following:

  • High-end: GeForce GTX 260/270/280/290
  • Performance: GeForce GT 230/250
  • Mainstream: GeForce GS 210/220
  • Entry-level: GeForce G 200/209
Reportedly, these cards will be presented in early 2009. In the second quarter of 2009 nVidia's first 40 nm would appear.
