Rumor has it that AMD has another two new socket AM2+ dual-core processors planned for release in a few months. The Athlon X2 7750 and Athlon X2 7550 would be based on the 65 nm Kuma core with respective clock frequencies of 2.7 and 2.5 GHz.

According to Expreview, both models have a TDP of 95 W, an HT3.0 frequency of 3600 MHz and support for DDR2-1066 memory. The amount of cache is unclear; some sources claim that it will be only 1 MB (512 kB/core) while others report on a 3 MB total. In the first care, the processors won't have L3 cache and will therefore be part of the entry-level segment.
Wel'll see whether this rumor is true or not in the first quarter of 2009, when the processors are to be released.| Related news |
