With its Flaton L42PP, LG claims to introduce a very tough flatscreenmonitor. The monitor features hardened and scratch-resistant  glass, while the screen can be turned all sides using the flexible and sturdy steel standard. This would make the L42PP an ideal screen for use in classrooms, on airfields, stations, in libraries, stores and other public places.

The L42PP's scratch resistant  screen is up to three times stronger than that of conventional flatscreens. Apart from to the left or right, the new Flatron can also be tilted 30 degrees up and down. The monitor will become available in a 17-inch and a 19-inch version.

According to LG, the monitors 8000:1 contrast should account for crystal clear images in dimly lit rooms as well as in tl-light, while the Flatron f-Engine, resolution of 1280x1024 and response time of 5 ms will provide excellent display on every location.

The recommended price of LG's Flaton L42PP is 219 Euro incl. VAT for the 17-inch and 249 Euro incl. VAT for the 19-inch model.
